Overview

Upgrade your F-Body vehicle's suspension with this affordable non-adjustable transmission mounted torque arm from UMI Performance. This direct replacement for the factory unit eliminates wheel hop, reduces front end nose dive, and prevents breakage. The tubular torque arm is made of 1.250" x 0.120" DOM Seamless Steel Tubing and features CNC machined mounting plates and MIG welding for strength. It comes with a low deflection front bushing for improved performance. Easy to install with no drilling or welding required, this torque arm is powder coated for durability. Compatible with GM 10-Bolt rear-ends, Moser and Strange 12-Bolts, and most 9" housings. Note that 1982-1984 models require purchase of a 1985 or newer clamshell mount, and grinding may be necessary on aftermarket 9" housings. For rear torque arm hardware, consider purchasing a new hardware kit for stock rear-ends or similar designs using a straight through bolt design.
